A one-off unique sculptural talisman carved in wax and cast into brass in Hatton Garden, London.

This piece can be worn as a pendant or kept as a personal amulet.

It is one of a series of portable art and intended to look like a well-worn heirloom. Each piece in the series is an empty vessel, which can be imbued with meaning once gifted or worn close to the skin.

In this way, the series is intended to reference the significance that we attach to material culture. We change the meanings of objects when they come into our possession. We fill them with stories and use them to affirm our own sense of self and of our place in the world.

The pendant is fitted with a gold-plated 5mm open jump ring to allow you to attach the piece to your own chain or cord.

Care of brass:
Brass naturally oxidises over time. This patina is part of the natural beauty of the material, but brass can easily be kept bright and golden by using a simple polishing cloth (included with each purchase).
